Welcome to the International Shinkendo Federation Home Page. We are an organization dedicated to teaching authentic Japanese swordsmanship, under the guidance and leadership of Obata Toshishiro.

The Honbu Dojo (World Headquarters) is located at 320 E. 2nd St. in the Little Tokyo district of Los Angeles, California, USA, with authorized branches around the world.

• Nisei Week Enbu
AUGUST 14TH, 2010
The Honbu Dojo will be demonstrating at the annual Nisei Week festival in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles, on Saturday, August 14th, 2010.
   • 3:00PM-4:00PM at Little Tokyo Galleria, 333 S. Alameda @ 3rd, Second Floor
   • 5:30PM-6:30PM at Noguchi Plaza, 244 S. San Pedro @ 2nd

• Shochu-Geiko Summer Training
AUGUST 20TH-22ND, 2010
The annual Shochu-Geiko intensive seminar will consist of instruction in Shinkendo, Aikido, Toyama Ryu Battodo, and Bojutsu, led by Toshishiro Obata-kaiso at the Honbu Dojo in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles, CA. This seminar is open to ISF/AB/KTRR members.

• Shinkendo Sosetsu Kinenbi – 20th Anniversary of Shinkendo

On May 10th, the Honbu Dojo and branch dojo around the world celebrated the Shinkendo Sosetsu Kinenbi, the anniversary of the founding of Shinkendo. This year is particularly special, as it marks the 20th anniversary of Shinkendo's creation.
