In this DVD, Obata Toshishiro-sensei demonstrates the basic curriculum and techniques of bojutsu practice. Learning the bo (six-foot staff) is the foundation for learning all pole weapons, such as the jo (short staff) and yari (spear).
Included are kamae (stances), mawashi (twirling exercises), basic striking, as well as bo kata (forms) and kumite (sparring), all performed by Obata Toshishiro-sensei, assisted by Obata Yoko-sensei.
